Hello, Quantum World! My name is Dalila, and I'm a quantum tech enthusiast with a particular interest in Quantum Machine Learning.
My journey began with a bachelor's degree in Physics and a master's degree in Machine Learning in Science; now, my curiosity keeps me exploring the latest advancements in quantum science.
I'm on a mission to make meaningful contributions to the field and to help and support fellow students, especially women, in joining this exhilarating quantum revolution.
Starting the journey into the world of quantum physics may seem challenging, but it's not impossible. If you're interested in getting started but don't know how, this is a good place to begin.
Let's start with books. First, it's important to have some knowledge of mathematics, therefore, a good book on linear algebra is a great starting point.
One of my favourites for learning the basics of quantum mechanics is "Quantum Mechanics: Concepts and Applications" by Zettili. You can begin with chapter 2 to learn the mathematical tools needed for quantum mechanics. If you're more interested in quantum computing, I recommend "Quantum Computation and Quantum Information" by Nielsen.
For those who want to delve deeper into quantum algorithms, a good starting point would be this paper of Quantum Algorithm Implementations for Beginners by Los Alamos.
If you're interested in reading my master's dissertation on quantum reinforcement learning, you can find it here.
If you're constantly on the hunt for internships or opportunities for growth, just like I am, here's a curated list of the current options available.
